Yezelalem Minch Children and Community Development (YMCCD) is a local, non-profit, non-governmental organization that seeks to provide comprehensive care for orphaned and vulnerable children, along with community capacity enhancement so as to minimize the vulnerability of orphaned children. YMCCD currently operates in three sub-cities of Addis Ababa, as well as in four branch offices located in suburban towns in the surrounding Oromia region – Sebeta, Alem Gena, Holeta, and Menagesha. There are over 1,500 children registered in the YMCCD program in total.
