The reason why, the name walia ibex given to our family restaurant is to remind that Ethiopia is not only the country of Lucy (the world’s second oldest fossil) but also the home to different kinds of endemic animals including walia ibex, which is one of the most endangered species in the world. Walia ibex is a member of the goat family and as far as known the walia ibex had always a restricted range and is found only in the Simien mountains of northern Ethiopia.
