Elelan leather is founded in 2015 with a vision of impacting lives while providing the world the best of Ethiopia’s leather products. Elelan founded by young entrepreneurs and is based in Addis Ababa, the capital of Africa. From our employees, our customers to our society and the world at large, We strive to make a difference; a difference that would change the lives and future of people.
Here at Elelan, employees are what the company is built on and they are the cornerstone. We work with smart and very talented young girls from Ethiopia and in doing so we have achieved remarkable results. Although Women comprise half of the world population, especially in the least developed countries, they don’t have the privilege to work in the formal labor force which in turn became a source of chronic poverty (UN Women Progress Report 2016). The report also states how Women are underpaid to their male counterparts regardless of their contribution. That is why at Elelan we make sure that every one gets its fair pay and create a sense of ownership of the company in order to craft these mesmerizing products.
With the Ambition of creating one of the biggest original East African brands, all of us at Elelan work harder to come up with something different at all times, something timeless and that Wow’s our customers. In doing so we continue impacting lives.
